Welcome! Well, after months of thinking about it, weeks of creating it and several days of checking and testing, we are delighted to launch the 'news' section of our website. Regular visitors can get the latest news on Inaria, the work weve been doing and projects weve won along with bite size gems of shared knowledge and interesting experiences. Enjoy!
New job wins this week also includes the redesign of the Mason Rose directory. The 200-page directory features all of the hotels and resorts that Mason Rose represents, both in the UK and abroad, and will be redesigned to reflect the brand identity created by Inaria in December. The previous directory, created by Inaria last year (shown above) communicated the company's offer through the concept of an Indian 'Chakra'.
Our 2007 Friday Gallery visits (for more information see Friday Gallery, left) got off to a great start with Volume at the V&A. Volume is a sculpture of light and sound an array of light columns positioned dramatically in the centre of the V&A's garden which respond to the movement of the viewer. Thanks to the ridiculously short Winter days, we were able to experience the full effect of the sculpture the darkness of the garden accentuating the beauty and delicacy of both the audio and visual. Volume is a collaboration between United Visual Artists, Robert Del Naja and Neil Davidge.
Stephen Raby Associates, an executive search consultancy, have appointed Inaria to design and implement a new brand identity. The appointment follows Inaria's redesign of their website in 2006 (shown above). The rebranding will unify the SRAs print and digital communications and the launch is due to coincide with their office move planned for early Spring. Stephen Raby Associates is one of Europes leading specialist search firms, with over 15 years experience of focusing on senior hires within global markets, global equities, derivatives and quantitative research.
One&Only has appointed Inaria to design and produce a new edition of its resort directory. Inaria created their previous directory in 2005, a luxurious casebound book with a print run of 300,000 copies. To ensure that the original directory was unique to One&Only, we commissioned a bespoke making of GFSmith's ColorPlan paper which was used to wrap the hard-back cover. The directory will feature a mixture of resort and 'Moments' photography and will have additional information on One&Only's forthcoming resort, One&Only Cape Town.
Our recently published book, High Five, showcases Inarias work from the past five years and demonstrates our approach to combining original ideas with beautifully crafted work. If you would like to receive a copy, please email debora@inaria-design.com
Fresh off the press this week is our first project for Mahogany: one the world's great carnival design and production companies. Famed for their work in the Notting Hill Carnival, Mahogany is a truly unique company, providing the highest quality of design and production through the inclusion of the entire community. This inspiring approach provides an alternative way of learning about the creative arts for young and old people alike. Inaria worked with Mohogany to create a new marketing tool which communicates their skills and experience in corporate events, promotions and festivals.
Look out for RotoVision's forthcoming publication on branding from their What is series due to launch Autumn 2007. The latest volume, What is Branding? features work from a selection of the world's leading brand design studios and we're delighted that several of the brands we have created and developed will be profiled, including our latest publication High Five.
Also, due out in Autumn 2007 is Print and Production Finishes for Promotional Items. Again, we're thrilled to have a number of projects featuring in this book as well.

This week saw Inaria formalise its commitment to student development, becoming a member of D&AD's Education Council. Through a series of D&AD initiatives, we will be more actively involved in the Student Placement Scheme, Portfolio Surgeries, Student Awards and will be giving lectures on design at a number of the country's leading design universities. The first lecture, How to Avoid an Identity Crisis, is an insight on how to make the transition from being a design student to a professional designer. For more information on D&AD, visit:
